OPINION BY WIEAND, J.: Filed December 4, 1995 Efrain Cruz-Centeno was tried non-jury and was found guilty of third degree murder and possession of an instrument of crime. Post-trial and supplemental post-trial motions were denied, and Cruz-Centeno was sentenced to serve a term of imprisonment for not less than eight (8) years nor more than sixteen (16) years for third degree murder and a concurrent term of imprisonment for not less than six (6) months nor more than one (1) year for possessing an instrument of crime. On direct appeal from the judgment of sentence, Cruz-Centeno argues that: (1) the evidence at his trial was legally insufficient to sustain his conviction for third degree murder; (2) the verdict was contrary to the weight of the evidence; (3) the trial court erred by allowing into evidence the preliminary hearing testimony of a Commonwealth witness who did not testify at trial; and (4) his sentence for third degree murder was excessive and unreasonable. After careful review, we affirm the judgment of sentence.
